Staboins and potential central bank digital currencies (CBDC) are smarter and simpler than Bitcoin (BTC) in the world of payments, according to a research report released by Cowen, a global investment bank and financial services company.

Yesterday, Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing's chief executive, Nicolas Au, announced plans to launch Diamond, its own digital asset trading platform, within this year, with the aim of becoming a one-stop platform for data, trading, payment and wallet management.
